Sibella Court

´Sibella encourages us to find our own colour palette, our own story, derived from the things that capture our attention, things we treasure.´ [Vogue Living]

The Society inc. is an old haberdashery meets hardware store specialising in local and global textiles, furniture, homewares and beautiful things.

Set up by long time interior stylist Sibella Court in an 1800s corner shop in Paddington, its contents and interior will change 4 times a year, each time a new 'theme' will transport the visitor to different societies. The first is The Indigo Blues Society followed by Travellers & Magicians. Each theme will be accompanied by seasonal paint colours designed by Sibella for Murobond Paints.

Sibella Court: an Australian interiors stylist; she used to live in New York, but opened a shop in Sydney: The Society Inc.. You can find some pictures of her bohemian-chic apartment in New York here. Her new book ´Etcetera´ can be purchased here.
About the work:
Containing tips of the interior stylist's trade, this book combines contemporary elements with antiques and junk-shop finds, textile fragments, wallpapers, and collectables and ephemera. It focuses on styling rather than decorating. It celebrates the individual and the personal rather than the wholesale adoption of a 'look'.
